NYYST Podcast adds big player to rotation
As the Yankees look to wrap up their stellar first half of the season heading into the All-Star break, the NYYST Podcast has a big announcement to make. Starting in July, without any set schedule just yet, former (and frequent) guest, Dan Federico, will be joining the crew with his very own segment, spotlighting some minor league talent in the Yankees' organization as well as players on the 25 man roster.
Dan has made quite the name for himself in the last 8 months after being the first to break a big trade between the Nationals and Indians for Yan Gomes back in November.
Since then, you will frequently hear Federico's name mentioned on sports broadcasts such as the YES Network and the Michael Kay Show. Even Twitter has acknowledged Dan's rapid growth as he was recently given the blue badge of OFFICIAL importance.
The best part about Federico is that he doesn't need any of it. He's humbled by the respect shown to him, his followers who support him and the public figures who acknowledge his hard work. As per Chris Stacy, co-host of the NYYST Podcast, "He's a guy that sticks his neck out there. In a world where every fan has a source, where everyone is looking to make a name for themselves by throwing a story onto the wall and hoping it sticks, Dan continuously reports the right way. For that, I'll always have the utmost respect for him and we couldn't be more excited to make him part of the team."
Federico currently writes for Bronx to Bushville after formerly contributing to the Bleacher Report. With the NYYST Podcast ranked in the top 3 on iTunes among "Yankees" podcasts in just 131 episodes, both parties agree, there's no better time than right now to team up and work together.
Dan's first spot on the show has yet to be scheduled, however, it's expected to premier sometime in the month of July.
