DJ Lemahieu Leads Yankees Past Red Sox 4-1

Behind a RBI double and solo home run from DJ LeMahieu, The New York Yankees topped the Boston Red Sox 4-1.

Down 1-0 in the bottom of the third inning, LeMahieu tied the game up 1-1 with a RBI double. Two batters later, Aaron Hicks would give the Yankees a 3-1 lead with a two run single.

In the 5th inning, LeMahieu extended the Yankees lead to 4-1 with a solo home run.

J.A Happ earned his fifth win of the season, pitching five innings and giving up just one run and struck out five. Aroldis Chapman earned his 16th save of the season.

Domingo German will get the start tomorrow night in game two of the three game series. The game starts at 7:15 p.m.
