Yankees extend win streak to 5 with 7-5 win over Angels

Behind another stellar outing from Domingo German and big days at the plate from Luke Voit and Mike Ford, the New York Yankees topped the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim 7-5 and extended their win streak to five games.

German pitched six and two-thirds innings, allowing no earned runs and struck out five to earn the win and improve his record to 4-1. Zack Britton earned his first save of the season as well.

Voit went 2-4 with two solo home runs and three runs scored. Ford went 2-3, hitting his first career home run and he drove in two RBIs and scored twice.

In the third game of the four game series, the Yankees will give the ball to C.C Sabathia will make his third start of the season.
