Yankees sign Logan Morrison to MiLB deal

April 19, 2019

The Yankees have reportedly signed first baseman Logan Morrison to a minor league contract. Morrison has an opt-out date of July 1 and will make $1 million if he's added to the major league roster.

Yankee fans likely remember Morrison who criticized Gary Sanchez's selection to the 2017 home run derby, saying...

Morrison later went out to call Yankee fans stupid, Morrison was reported as saying, "They didn’t like the Gary Sanchez thing with the Home Run Derby,” Morrison said then, “but you can’t fix stupid, you know?”

Morrison hit 38 home runs in 2017 but dropped off in 2018 and hit only 15. If Morrison makes the major league roster, it's safe to say he likely won't be popular among fans.
