More Yankee injuries
It feels like the injuries will never stop.
The Yankees announced this morning that catcher Gary Sanchez has been placed on the 10-day IL, retroactive 4/11/19. Sanchez experienced tightness in his calf in the first game in Houston and underwent an MRI which showed a left calf strain. In interviews, Sanchez seemed surprised at the MRI results and feels he will be back at the end of the 10 days.
During the rain delay of tonight's game, Yankees GM Brian Cashman announced Dellin Betances will be shut down for 3 weeks and he wont' return to the team for 6-7 weeks. Betances has had a bone spur in his shoulder since joining the team and it is now causing inflammation. He will receive a cortisone injection tomorrow.
