Stop me if you've heard this before; Greg Bird might be hurt again. Today the Yankee first basemen was scratched from the Yankees' lineup and sent back to Tampa for further tests. In yesterday's game between the Yankees and the Astros, Bird was struck on the elbow by a fastball up and in. All seemed fine and Bird would stay in the game, but today, Bird reported stiffness in his elbow. Bird probably won't miss any time as this seems to just be a precautionary visit to the team doctor, but with Bird's extreme injury history he is surely holding his breath.
In the "Good News" category, Tyler Wade reported that the stiffness he was experiencing yesterday has subsided and he will be ready for opening day.
