Happ throws another gem for Yankees, continues to give stability to rotation

The Yankees beat the Rays by a score of 4-1 thanks to 7 shutout innings by J.A. Happ. The Yankee offense put a run on the board in the very first inning after a bloop single by Hicks scored Stanton from 3rd making it 1-0. The score would remain tied until the bottom of the 5th. With a man on, Austin Romine would punch one the other way for his 8th homer of the year making it 3-0. Dellin Betances would take over for Happ in the 8th and allow a home run on the very first pitch he threw. However, he would retire the next 3 Rays hitters to end the inning with the Yankees still ahead. The Yanks would get that run back in the bottom of the 8th of off back to back doubles by Greg Bird and Miguel Andujar. It would be 4-1 the score, with Chapman coming in. Chapman has been shaky lately but his pitched clean 9th inning to earn the save and hand the Yankees their 75th win.

Same time same place tomorrow. Luis Cessa will get the start.
