Yankees Injury Update

April 4, 2018

Yankees manager Aaron Boone announced yesterday Jacoby Ellsbury will not be coming off the DL on Thursday as originally thought. Ellsbury has an injury to his hip which will keep him sidelined. Boone indicated he expects Aaron Hicks back before Ellsbury. Hicks is scheduled to come off of the DL on April 9th. The Yankees expect to have him for their first series at Fenway which begins on April 10th.

Outfielder Clint Frazier is reportedly "hopefully very close" to getting into games. Aaron Boone indicated Frazier has been running the bases and tracking pitches.

Adam Warren is scheduled to throw off a bullpen mound Tuesday and could be available to pitch against the Rays.
