Report: Yankees sign Danny Espinosa as non-roster invitee to spring training

Mark Feinsand is reporting that the New York Yankees have signed Danny Espinosa as a non-roster invitee to Spring Training. He will be competing for the Opening Day 2nd base job.
Espinosa hit .175 in 266 at-bats for the Angels, Mariners and Rays in 2017, combined with 6 home runs and 4 stolen bases. That leaves a lot to be desired for the player looking to fill Starlin Castro's shoes.
Brendan Ryan 2.0? We certainly hope not.
