Reports are coming out that Giancarlo Stanton (who has a full no-trade clause) would consider a trade to the Astros, Cubs, Dodgers or Yankees. The Yankees would also likely look to get rid of Jacoby Ellsbury (also has a full no-trade clause) who is owed $68 million through 2020 before taking on Giancarlo's mammoth contract. He is owed $295 million over the next 10 seasons.
Given the Yankees' desire to stay under the luxury tax in the 2018 season, it may not make sense for them to pursue this. However, since one of the new Marlins' owners is a pinstripe legend, you never know what sort of a deal might be worked out.
